Optometrists need a variety of information and measurements; this is the only way for spectacle lenses to achieve their optimum performance for their user. For this reason, ZEISS accompanies the sales process with a variety of systems and instruments that capture, store, process and make available the relevant data with high precision.
Since mid-2016, XITASO has been tasked with developing the software components for the integration of the devices as well as the user experience of the systems for iPad and PC.
The existing native developed iOS app for collecting customer and measurement data should become compatible with different operating systems in order to make it accessible to a wider customer base due to increasing demand. In order to record the measurement results of the individual devices with their different interfaces and to make them accessible and presentable at any time, a newly developed digitization solution was required.
Using state-of-the-art frameworks, the bridge between mobile and desktop apps was erected. For the high-performance acquisition of customer and measurement data, the seamless integration and operation of a wide range of measuring instruments with a variety of different interfaces was achieved. XITASO’s UI/UX experts worked with ZEISS to develop easy-to-use, self-explanatory surfaces.
