Mnestix is the perfect tool to demonstrate the power and potential of AAS (Asset Administration Shells) for the implementation of standardized digital twins. It opens the way for use cases such as the Digital Product Passport (DPP).
Think big, start small: We believe that the more widespread the Asset Administration Shell is, the better it can realize its potential as an industry standard. That’s why our goal is to enable as many companies as possible to get started free of charge and with a low threshold.

What is Mnestix?
Mnestix is an open source software designed to simplify the implementation of the Asset Administration Shell. Together with increasing contributions from users and developers, a growing community is working on further development under the leadership of XITASO, a leading high-end software development company in the engineering industry.
With a clear roadmap towards a comprehensive suite based on the viewer, modules are currently being developed for the creation of asset administration shells (Template Builder) and the import of data for asset administration shells (Data Ingest Endpoint).

Viewer
The Mnestix Viewer is a web-based, cross-platform and responsive application for visualizing all contents of your Asset Administration Shell (AAS). For the most common submodels, the viewer offers additional, special visualization components for intuitive display of the content: Nameplate, Carbon Footprint, Handover Documentation, Time Series, Bill of Material.
Data Ingest
Create new Asset Administration Shells without AAS knowledge using generic JSON inputs. Connect your data sources directly via JSON and your incoming data via the Data Ingest Endpoint with your templates from the Template Builder.
Template Builder
Easily create AAS template models using a graphical user interface with ready-made submodel templates for your AASs. You can choose from a range of standardized submodels or design your own. Define your ETL mapping rules for your individual JSON inputs coming through the JSON data input endpoint to create your AAS instances.
Repository
Benefit from the open source standard: Import and export your AAS from and to other AAS servers and files using standard tools.
