Research team from XITASO and Augsburg University at Airbus Helicopters

A research team from XITASO and Augsburg University conducted an interview with commissioning and maintenance experts of Airbus Helicopters on July 19, 2019 within the framework of their mutual research project AIPE.

Since the beginning of 2019 XITASO has been researching, together with Professor Dr. Hähner’s Lehrstuhl Organic Computing (Chair for Organic Computing) at the Applied Informatics Faculty in Augsburg University, for the AIPE (Automated Commissioning by Persisting Expert Knowledge). The objective of the research is to develop a process, which reduces the timeframe and costs for commissioning of machines and systems.

Within the framework of this research project, Airbus Helicopters Deutschland GmbH invited XITASO employees Richard Nordsieck and Dr. Andreas Angerer, together with Michael Heider, Research Fellow at Augsburg University, for an interview. Based on challenges faced during commissioning of machines, potentials for support based on Artificial Intelligence were discussed.
