XITASO joins the Open Industry 4.0 Alliance
Augsburg, 27 February 2023 – XITASO is a new member of the Open Industry 4.0 Alliance. The Alliance is a network founded in 2019 with the aim of driving the Digital Transformation and further developing vendor-independent Industry 4.0 ecosystems. Members are leading companies from the mechanical engineering, automation and software sectors.
The Open Industry 4.0 Alliance is a network of international companies with distinctive technical expertise whose goal is to implement standards and concepts for Industry 4.0 solutions and products. By creating an open ecosystem for the operation of highly automated manufacturing and plants, the alliance aims to avoid proprietary approaches and accelerate the digital transformation internationally through cross-manufacturer scalability.
Different standards and interfaces hinder fast and easy scalability in the introduction and further development of Industrie 4.0 solutions on the shop floor. Isolated solutions cause increased implementation effort, for example when commissioning new plants or communicating with other systems.
In order to avoid these stumbling blocks, XITASO has been working in this area for a long time with solutions around the standardised digital twin and is a pioneer in the practical implementation of various use cases with the Asset Administration Shell. Joining the Open Industry 4.0 Alliance is a logical step: both share the same goal, namely to accelerate and further drive the digital transformation of industrial companies.
As a service provider for high-end software engineering, XITASO advises B2B companies on solution strategies in various industries and has many years of expertise in implementing software projects for digital transformation. Through close networking with research institutions and professional associations such as the IDTA (Industrial Digital Twin Association), XITASO also actively shapes the further development of standards in addition to customer projects.
