XITASO is growing and the management team expands

The high-end software engineering service provider from Augsburg reacts to the stable and continuous growth as well as the dynamic development of the Group, by expanding the upper-management level. The management team comprising of Ulrich und Martin Huggenberger has been expanded and developed with the addition of the digitization expert Dr. Michael Schackert as COO, and the financial specialist Andreas Beirer as CFO.

In sustainable, trusting partnerships, XITASO develops and operates innovative, tailor-made software solutions, for and with its customers, which integrate state-of-the-art technologies such as artificial intelligence as central components. Based on the wide range of practical experience in highly complex IT projects, the portfolio also includes consulting on the modernisation of existing system landscapes.

XITASO aims to differentiate itself, significantly and substantially, regarding the quality of the services and the solutions provided. In addition to technological expertise, agile working methods and a high degree of self-organization are implemented consequently. This creates an environment in which highly qualified IT professionals work enthusiastically and where customers receive quick, appropriate solutions for their complex tasks, every time.

The fact that this concept is a success is reflected in the company’s substantial growth: Since 2016, XITASO has more than doubled in size and is now one of the leading software engineering service providers in the Bavarian-Swabian region, with more than 120 employees. In order to master this rapid development, the shareholders decided to expand their management.

Dr. Michael Schackert, a long-standing employee chosen from in-house ranks, is now responsible as COO for the operational processes and day-to-day business. After completing his doctorate at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), the physicist worked at XITASO from 2014, first as a software developer and then for many years as a product owner. Since 2018, he has been coordinating all customer projects and the meanwhile 15 cross-functionally staffed project teams. His main goal is to design the framework conditions for self-organization and personal responsibility in such a way that every XITASOnian can develop their know-how in software engineering as much as possible, thereby providing the maximum value contribution to the customers.

The commercial management of XITASO GmbH will now be taken over by Andreas Beirer as Managing Director and CFO. He studied business administration at the University of Augsburg, expanded his know-how with an MBA at the University of Dayton in the USA and was employed by well-known companies in the fields of cybersecurity, entertainment electronics and international trade, such as Drivelock SE or Drucker.de, before joining XITASO. Andreas Beirer has been working in Finance and Controlling at XITASO GmbH since 2019, most recently as an authorized representative. He stands for consistent, company-wide transparency and ensures an open flow of information as a basis for self-organized decision-making.
