XITASO becomes a member of the Industrial Digital Twin Association (IDTA)

By becoming a member of the Industrial Digital Twin Association, XITASO underlines its role as an expert in high-end software engineering in the field of industrial digitization and in the connection of IT with OT. The IDTA is a community that supports making the digital twin usable for digitization projects in industry using open technologies and practical use cases.

The Industrial Digital Twin Association e.V. was founded in 2020 by the associations, VDMA (Verband Deutscher Maschinen- und Anlagenbau e.V.) and ZVEI (Zentralverband Elektrotechnik und Elektronikindustrie e.V.) together with Bitkom (Bundesverband Informationswirtschaft, Telekommunikation und neue Medien e.V.) and 20 companies. It aims to advance technology development based on the administration shell to a global open-source standard.

On the technology side, the administration shell plays an increasingly important role as a “data connector”. “We believe in the administration shell as the standard for the technological implementation of successful Industry 4.0 projects for our customers. Practice-oriented and future-proof use cases are important to us,” says Christian Heinrich, software developer and Industry 4.0 specialist at XITASO.

Intelligent platforms and interfaces are the linchpin for the digitization of production processes and an important factor in making products “smart”. With a high level of competence in high-end software engineering, XITASO designs and implements projects in which the networking and connection of plants and machines generate measurable added value and increase productivity.
