Bridgefield – A new name for shopfloor digitization in Magdeburg

With a new name and brand appearance, the Magdeburg-based XITASO Engineering GmbH is now launching into the future as “Bridgefield GmbH”. This underlines its distinct specialization in shopfloor digitization solutions for industrial customers.

Founded in 2016 by brothers Ulrich and Martin Huggenberger, together with Prof. Frank Ortmeier under the umbrella of the XITASO Group, the company can look back over four successful years. Even during this initial establishment phase, several digitization projects with well-known industrial customers have been successfully designed and implemented, especially in the field of Industry 4.0 and production automation. The new branding under the name Bridgefield pays tribute to this focus and underlines the competences of the 22 employees at the site in the heart of Magdeburg.

“Bridgefield stands for ‘Building Bridges’. We see ourselves as a digitization service provider that builds bridges between existing systems, processes and employees and new digital infrastructures,” says Prof. Frank Ortmeier. Combined with the offer from the sister companies in Augsburg, this means customers receive a comprehensive and extremely high-quality range of services related to the software engineering life cycle. Bridgefield will continue to work closely with the sister companies of the XITASO Group.
