BAYERNS BEST 50 – XITASO wins award

XITASO is one of the winners of this year’s “BAYERNS BEST 50” competition. On 23 July 2018, Ulrich and Martin Huggenberger, CEO/CTO and CFO of XITASO, received the award from Bavaria’s Minister of Economic Affairs, Franz Josef Pschierer.

Each year, the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Energy and Technology awards the fifty fastest-growing mid-sized enterprises that have managed to increase both their workforce and their sales revenues at an above-average rate in recent years. This year, the winners of the “BAYERNS BEST 50” competition include the Augsburg-based software and consulting company XITASO which supports its customers in all facets of the digital transformation with innovative approaches and solutions.

During an official award ceremony at Schleissheim Palace on 23 July 2018, Ulrich and Martin Huggenberger, CEO/CTO and CFO of XITASO, were presented with the award by Bavaria’s Minister of Economic Affairs, Franz Josef Pschierer.

“We are delighted with this award since it is confirmation of our strategy in recent years,” stresses Ulrich Huggenberger, who founded XITASO in late 2011. “Our growth and the increasing demand from companies for digitization solutions demonstrate that we are on the right track and that our offerings are extremely attractive.” As an owner-run mid-sized enterprise, XITASO has seen strong growth and now has three locations, including two in Augsburg. The number of employees is growing very dynamically and has recently topped the 100 mark. Naturally, the company founder is delighted that this development and commitment are being recognized by the political sphere. “Accordingly, it is a great honor for us to belong to the group of prize-winning companies,” states Ulrich Huggenberger.

The “BAYERNS BEST 50” award for SMEs is being presented for the 17th time this year. Owner-led companies with headquarters in Bavaria, which have existed since at least 31 December 2012 and have a workforce between 50 and 5,000 employees can apply for this award. The winners are determined by independent auditors on behalf of the Ministry of Economics. The criteria include above-average growth, economic success, sustainable entrepreneurship and innovative strength. The evaluation is carried out on the basis of an audit of the respective business figures as well as a background discussion with the company management concerning challenges, goals and strategies.

Commitment to the Augsburg location

As a consultancy partner for digitization, XITASO has specialized in supporting B2B customers. Future technologies such as Industrie 4.0, the Internet of Things (IoT) as well as artificial intelligence give rise to completely new potential for added value in companies. This can only be tapped, however, if an appropriate digital strategy is in place. XITASO supports its customers in both developing corresponding concepts and implementing them through individual software solutions in the areas of intelligent and networked production. It also guides renowned Bavarian companies such as KUKA and MAN along their path into the digital future.

“Our application for the award also reflects our commitment to the Augsburg location and the Swabian region within Bavaria,” adds Martin Huggenberger. “As an Augsburg-based company, a positive economic situation in the region naturally benefits us directly. On the other hand, we also contribute to its successful further development. Naturally, this also applies when it comes to highly qualified specialists. Here, we work extremely closely with the university and the university of applied sciences and offer exciting prospects for the future in the field of innovative technology. We are highly aware of our responsibility and function as a role model. We regard this award as an incentive to continue the positive development of our company in the future as well.”
