automatica 2022: Many interesting conversations around Digital Twin, Data Science and Software Engineering

Many of us have known automatica for years, but for XITASO it was the first time as an exhibitor. With a lot of commitment, joy and team spirit, we intensively prepared our 65-square-meter booth in Hall A4 and now look back on four trade show days full of interesting conversations with new and familiar contacts, a lot of interest in digitalization in mechanical engineering and software solutions for the path to the Smart Factory. After the last two years, we were exceptionally happy to talk to our customers and prospects in person again. Even though we love the digital, nothing beats personal contact.

We deliberately set priorities in the presentation of our competencies and offerings. For some time now, we have been successfully implementing customer projects with use cases around the digital twin and have also focused on this topic at automatica. And rightly so! Our approach to future-proof implementation with the standardized Asset Administration Shell has been very well received, including by partners and associations with which we are involved. For example, not only at our booth but also at the VDMA booth, visitors were able to scan and display the digital nameplate with their own smartphone using the XITASO solution “Mnestix“.

There was also a lot of interest in our expertise in the field of data science. Artificial intelligence technologies such as machine learning offer great potential, especially for companies in the mechanical and plant engineering sector. We use data science to create valuable decision-making bases from data so that they can be used for predictive quality or predictive maintenance.

How nice it was to see that XITASO is now represented for the first time with its own booth at such an important industry trade show! Such an industry event as automatica is always an excellent platform for exchange, networking and inspiring conversations. After the last two years, it was particularly enjoyable this time.
