We invest in further developing the skills of XITASO employees and are involved with various social projects in the form of sponsorships, donations and personal engagement. We reflect on our activities and act in accordance with ethical and moral standards and in the interests of society as a whole.
Ecological sustainability
As a business, we are aware of our responsibility in terms of the environment and our ecological footprint. We have been measuring our carbon footprint every year since 2020 and working hard to identify and actively take measures to reduce it. A XITASO community has been created to provide a space where all XITASO employees can put forward their own thoughts and ideas for achieving our goal of becoming a carbon-neutral company.

Milestones
on our journey towards improving our ecological sustainability
- Launch of our internal “XITASO carbon footprint” taskforce at the end of 2021.
- Determination of our carbon footprint for 2020 and 2019. Identification of ways to reducing our carbon emissions from heating and electricity. Potential carbon savings by switching to green electricity at our largest site in Augsburg: 43t CO2.
- Establishment of “XECO” as an official community for promoting sustainability within XITASO.
- Supplying our largest site, “Augsburg Allee” with green electricity starting in July 2022.
- Replacement of neon lighting at our Augsburg Ausstrasse site with energy-efficient LED lighting.
- Introduction of our optimised heating concept: Basic level of heating provided via radiators (from the district heating network), comfortable room temperature achieved using carbon-neutral heat pumps (split system) starting in winter 2022.
- Installation of a photovoltaic system at our Augsburg Ausstrasse site.
… and we are continuing to work on identifying further measures we can take to improve our ecological footprint.
