Security Engineer (all genders)

Our customers develop complex software and system solutions with high cybersecurity requirements and reliability.
This involves not only identifying vulnerabilities, but also understanding systems in a way that leads to sustainable security solutions.

You’ll contribute by analyzing systems, assessing risks, and working together to implement concrete improvements. Typical tasks related to IT operations, infrastructure monitoring, or the SOC are not the focus of this role. Instead, you can expect:

• You analyze systems and applications, identify security risks, and derive specific improvement measures.
• You conduct security assessments and security tests for applications, APIs, cloud environments, and other technical systems.
• Together with other engineers and stakeholders, you will design and develop robust security solutions and evaluate technical approaches.
• You will accompany security improvements from analysis through design to implementation in live systems.
• You will evaluate the effectiveness of measures and continuously refine existing solutions.

• You have 2–4 years of practical experience in IT security or software development and have worked on real-world systems.
• You understand how modern systems and applications are structured (e.g., APIs, cloud), can assess security risks, and develop solutions to deal with them.
• You work in an analytical and solution-oriented manner, are eager to truly understand systems, and can clearly discuss technical topics.
• You have very good German and English skills (at least C1 level) to ensure clear and confident communication within the team and with our partners.
• You want to actively integrate security into applications and systems and develop technical security solutions, rather than just operating or monitoring security.

Within our standardized and transparent salary framework, the gross annual salary of the position ranges from EUR 58,000 – 70,000 and is based on various factors such as qualifications and experience.
