Ulrich Huggenberger
Ulrich Huggenberger founded XITASO in 2011. Previously, the graduated Computer Scientist worked five years as Software Developer and Project Manager with the KUKA Robot Group. For two and a half years he was Manager of the engineering firm Codronic. Ulrich Huggenberger already focused on engineering software during his studies of computer sciences at the Augsburg University. Today he advises the Software Developers of XITASO and is in charge of the company’s strategic alignment.

Martin Huggenberger
In June 2014 Martin Huggenberger became the second member of the management board of XITASO. Already in September 2013, the graduate in business administration assumed responsibility for the company’s financial planning. Before that, Huggenberger was working five years as Investment Manager for Allianz Global Investors. During that time, he focused intensively on the evaluation of various business models and their individual prospects of success. He deploys his comprehensive management expertise in the XITASO family business.

Managing Director and COO
Dr. Michael Schackert
Since 2021, Dr. Michael Schackert has been responsible for operations and day-to-day business as Managing Director and COO. Before the PhD Physicist became part of the XITASO team as a Software Developer in 2014, he worked as a Research Assistant at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) on superconducting nanostructures. At XITASO, he also worked as a Product Owner himself for many years and, as Head of Delivery, he has already been taking care of the overall coordination of project teams and customer projects since 2018. For him, his mission is to shape the framework conditions for self-organization and personal responsibility in such a way that all XITASOnians can develop their passion for digitalization in the best possible way.

Manuel Achúcarro
Manuel Achúcarro, born in Madrid, is since 2022 supporting the international expansion of XITASO in Spain and Portugal as Regional Manager for XITASO Iberia. After completing his studies in Telecommunications Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Madrid, he has worked for more than 10 years as software engineer, designing and developing systems and solutions for different business areas such as e-commerce, academic institutions, industry, job portals, insurance and more. He is in XITASO since 2015 and has contributed to strengthen some of the company’s strategic areas such as web development and mentoring. In 2021 he finishes his Executive MBA studies at IESE and steers his career to the area of technical business development and management. He strongly believes in the XITASO code and values. Thus, he works to expand them beyond the home-turf of the company, and to show that they can make a positive impact in other markets and societies as well. After living 10 years in Germany and speaking daily fluent English, German and Spanish, he defends that diversity and multiculturality is a great source of innovation, excellence and well being, both in professional and human perspectives.

Andreas Beirer
Andreas Beirer has been steering the financial fortunes of XITASO GmbH since 2021. Prior to this, he spent two years in the company’s finance and controlling, most recently also as an Authorized Officer. His previous positions at the finance wheel included well-known companies in the fields of cyber security, consumer electronics and international trade, such as Drivelock SE or Drucker.de. Equipped with a diploma in business administration from the University of Augsburg and an MBA from the University of Dayton in the USA, Andreas Beirer creates and promotes consistent company-wide transparency and lives open communication as the basis for our issue-based and distributed responsibility.

Dr. Andreas Angerer
As Head of Research & Innovation at XITASO, Dr. Andreas Angerer is responsible for the cooperation with national and international partners from science and industry in leading technology areas. He supports excellent young researchers in exploring the potential of tomorrow’s technologies and thus expanding XITASO’s high-end positioning in software engineering. Andreas Angerer studied Software Engineering at the University of Augsburg, the TU Munich and the LMU Munich. In his doctoral thesis at the University of Augsburg, he worked intensively for several years on how robotics can benefit from modern software engineering.

Christian Fliß
As an experienced manager in sales, Christian Fliß works with a strong focus on sales and business development to expand XITASO’s customer base, build networks and drive the company forward. As site manager, he is also responsible for the development and strategic growth of the Münster site. Before joining XITASO, Christian Fliß already held various positions as sales manager and managing director and thus has the ability to react quickly to changing circumstances. With his industry experience in mechanical engineering, he is primarily pursuing the goal of establishing XITASO as the first association for digitalization in mechanical and plant engineering.

Dr. Thomas Geislinger
As CEO Technology & Operations, Dr. Thomas Geislinger has been responsible for the development of the company’s healthcare business unit PLANFOX since 2020. After completing his doctorate at the University of Augsburg and the scholarship at the Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, the physicist started at XITASO in 2016. As a project manager, he was responsible for digitization initiatives and complex MedTech software engineering projects, both for startups and globally operating large corporations. With his experience, he creates framework conditions in which the excellent software engineering know-how of XITASOnians can be implemented in Germany-wide leading products for the healthcare sector, in order to sustainably shape the digital transformation of the healthcare sector.

Dr. Andreas Bauer
As CEO Strategy & Business Development Dr. Andreas Bauer is responsible for the development of the healthcare business unit PLANFOX. Before becoming a member of the XITASO team in 2020, the economis graduate was responsible for strategic corporate development and communication in various international industrial companies in the mechanical engineering and automation sector, most recently at Leistritz AG and KUKA AG. Andreas Bauer brings this experience to our sustainable corporate development. For the healthcare business unit PLANFOX, he sees his mission in creating ideal framework conditions for employees, business partners and customers in order to successfully improve healthcare in the long term with excellent software products.

Prof. Dr. Jens Brunner
Jens Brunner has held the Chair for Health Care Operations / Health Information Management at the Faculty of Business and Economics of Augsburg University since 2013. The Chair is tasked with analyzing, planning and optimizing service processes in the healthcare sector using quantitative methods of operations research / management science. Brunner was appointed Managing Director and CEO of the newly founded XITASO Healthcare GmbH in 2016. The goal of this XITASO subsidiary is to advise healthcare providers in process management issues and to implement the results in innovative IT systems in a targeted manner. A particular focus is placed on software-based personnel scheduling in hospitals.
